12/09/22 – 18/09/22

As we transition from summer into Autumn/Winter the Loch is getting quieter, the temperature over the last week has dropped, this resulted in the fisherman having to use intermediate lines as opposed to floating lines a week earlier, the winds were varying most days from east to west and even a north wind.

There were 24 boats in the water in the past week, with 40 rods out & 4 bank anglers.

The dry flies were tempting most fish to the surface at the start of the week, with intermediate lines by the end of the week, with the usual favourites, foam daddies, buzzers and yellow owls all doing well, black boobies on the intermediate line were working for some anglers.

The following clubs fished the Loch over the past week, SSEB Angling Club, Penicuik Angling Club & Bothwell & Blantyre Angling Club, all the clubs enjoyed their day on the Loch, with many anglers catching trout over 5lb.

As we are now going into the Autumn, please note we are closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

The fishery is open from 9:00am till 4:30pm Wednesday to Sunday. For bookings, please call our office on 07527254811 or drop us a message on Facebook.
